Connecting computer inside a metal building to wireless network.

I have a computer inside a metal building and I need to connect to my wireless network in another building about 100 feet away.  How can I get this to work?

The problem here is that the metal building is blocking the signal from getting outside.  You need to set up an antenna outside of the building.  Here's how:

For the easiest connection, you can use our Wireless USB adapter:

You will then need this pigtail which goes from the wireless USB adapter to a jumper cable:

From there, you will need a low loss jumper extension cable long enough to get outside to the antenna:

Choose an N Female connector on one end and an N Male on the other

Then you will need an external antenna.  Based on the short distance you need to go, this mini directional antenna will work fine:

For a longer distance (up to about 2000 ft), this antenna is a good choice:
