House to House connection through trees
I want to set up a WL p2p bridge between two houses, approximately 100 yds apart.  In between is about 20 yds of foliage (mostly hardwoods).  I have two LinkSys WAP54G radios.

I am looking at getting two of the 16dBi 2.4Ghz Die Cast VAGI Antennas.  Three questions:

1) If mounted outside each house, will the signal easily burn through the trees?

2) Could these two antennas be mounted inside the house, burn through two exterior walls and through the trees?

3) The radios would be about 6 - 12 feet from each antenna (whether mounted internal or external).  What cables do I need with what ends?

Thanks for your help!

There is a good chance that the connection will work.  You will need to put the antennas on the outside of the houses.  It probably will not work with them mounted inside.  Get the antennas as high up as possible because in most cases the foliage will be thinner at the top than at the ground.   Microwaves are close in the spectrum to visible light, so a general rule is if you can see daylight through the trees, even a little bit, the signal will get through.

You will need a Low Loss 400 jumper cable to connect the WAP54G to the VAGI.  Choose an RP-TNC connector on one end and a N Male connector on the other, and choose the length of the cable that you need:

Also, the VAGI antennas mount to a pole.  If you don't have something to mount it to, take a look at our mounts here:

Thank you!
