I want to connect easily to WiFi hotspots from within my RV. I have trouble getting a good signal from inside. What do you recommend for me to use so that I can get a good connection from within my RV?

The key is to get an antenna up and on the outside of your RV. The following setup uses a wireless to USB adapter which can be used with a desktop PC or a laptop as well as a high gain external antenna which is mounted outside the RV to pick up wireless networks in all directions at maximum range.

Wireless to USB Converter:

High Gain Outdoor Antenna:
Two Options:
1. Longest Range, Omnidirectional - antenna is about 4 feet tall:

2. Excellent Range, Omnidirectional - antenna is shorter at only 2.5 feet tall:

Low Loss Jumper Cable to go from the wireless to USB adapter to the antenna mounted outside. Choose RP-SMA on one end and N Male on the other:

A 6 foot USB extension cable. This give you plenty of "wiggle room" between wireless to USB adapter and your computer.

The antenna includes u-bolts for mounting to a pole. Many RV'ers just mount them to the ladder. You also have other antenna mounting options here:
