Installation and Setup of your RV WiFi Repeater Kit

ASSEMBLING THE ANTENNA AND ATTACHING THE CABLE
The antenna assembly is easy and just takes a minute or two. It comes with a U-bolt mount with wingnuts for easy assembly. Attach the mounting plate to the bottom of the antenna and tighten the mounting plate nut. Insert the clamp onto the U-bolt with the teeth towards the "U" and then insert the U-bolt through the holes on the antenna mounting plate. Install the washers and wingnuts. Connect the N Male connector on the cable to the N Female connector at the bottom of the antenna. Hand tighten. IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE A WRENCH TO TIGHTEN THE N MALE CONNECTOR

MOUNTING THE ANTENNA
When you arrive at your campsite, you will need to mount the antenna so that it is up in the air (preferably above your roofline). Some people find it easiest to mount the antenna to the top of their ladder rack. Another option is a painter's pole which is available at your local hardware store or home center. The painter's pole is typically 5 to 6 feet long, and extends to 10 to 12 feet. Whichever option you choose, the key is to get the antenna up in the air above your roofline.

ROUTING THE ANTENNA CABLE
Carefully uncoil the antenna cable and route it to the inside of your RV close to where you will have your computer. An easy option is to fit it through a window that is cracked open. Some people may choose a more permanent cable arrangement or may have other options based on their RV. This choice is up to you. If you would like a more permanent mounting option for your cable, JEFA Tech can make you a custom cable of any length and configuration you require.

SETTING UP AND CONNECTING THE REPEATER
Connect the antenna cable connector to the antenna jack on the repeater box. Plug the repeater into a standard 120V AC outlet. The power light should blink for up to 30 seconds and then it will remain solid. Note: 12V DC power is an easy modification for this repeater. Contact JEFA Tech for more information if you would like to run the repeater on DC power.

About permanent mounting:
This kit is designed for portability, but you may choose a more permanent mounting option for your antenna. The antenna is weatherproof and will survive outside in the weather with no problem. Do not leave the antenna in a vertical configuration when in motion. If it strikes an object such as a tree branch, it will break the antenna. If you will have the antenna in a permanent configuration, or plan to leave it outside for an extended period, it is recommended to seal the connection between the antenna and cable with an electrical sealing or mastic type tape. This will keep moisture out of the connection.
